DPC Cohort 2 Graduation Ceremony

On 25th July 2025, after Dr. Blango’s arrival, the SCN Digital Platform Centre hosted its second graduation ceremony for nine participants who successfully completed a 12-week digital literacy program.

The nine graduates received certificates in the presence of the CEO and Founder, community members, stakeholders, and media representatives. The training covered:

• Introduction to ICT
• Digital Literacy
• Cybersecurity Awareness
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Multimedia

Key Highlights:

• The ceremony was chaired by SCN’s Director of Operations, Mr. Thomas Nyamawa, who emphasized SCN’s legitimacy and its role in bridging the digital divide.
• Blango delivered the keynote address, stressing the importance of digital literacy as a foundation for national development.
• Certificates were presented by SCN’s Training Manager, Francis Nylender, alongside partners such as Mrs. Mary Rogers.
• SCN’s Director of Development and Media Relations, Mr. Peter Menjor, announced plans to expand offerings to include QuickBooks training.
• The event was covered by AYV Television, extending SCN’s visibility nationally.

The DPC graduation reaffirmed SCN’s role as a pioneer of grassroots digital empowerment in Sierra Leone.
